Understand what viewers can and cannot see

What a person with a share link sees, and what stays private to you.

When you share a video, the person you send the link to sees a focused player, not your account. This article explains where the line sits.

What a viewer sees

  • The video, played in the LapInsight player.
  • Lap markers on the timeline, if the video has them.
  • Captions, if the video has them.
  • The title and details you have set on the video.

What a viewer does not see

  • Your dashboard, library, or any other video.
  • Your account details, plan, or billing.
  • Your notes, unless you have shared them as part of a report.

A share link is scoped to one video. It does not open a door to anything else in your account.

Watermarks

On some plans you can add a logo or mark to your videos. When set, it appears on the shared video. On the free plan, shared videos carry the LapInsight watermark.
