Terms of Service
The rules for using LapInsight. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Questions? Email support@lapinsight.com.

The short version
These are the rules for using LapInsight. We’ve kept a plain-language summary at the top, but the sections below are what actually govern your use.
In short: you own your content, you’re responsible for what you upload and who you share it with, we provide the service in good faith but without ironclad guarantees, and either of us can end the relationship. The most important practical point is about unlisted share links. Anyone who has one can view the content, so be careful who you give them to.
1. Who these terms are with
LapInsight is operated by Focus Racing Pte Ltd, registered in Singapore (UEN 202033464K) (“LapInsight,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and us. They work alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account and eligibility
You need an account to use most of LapInsight. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@lapinsight.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
You must be at least 13 years old to use LapInsight, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you’re using it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
We require you to verify your email address before you can upload.
3. Subscriptions and billing
LapInsight offers a free tier and paid plans (currently driver, developer, coach, and enterprise). What you can do depends on your plan.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.
- Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period.
- We don’t generally give refunds for time already paid, except where the law requires it. If something goes badly wrong on our end, talk to us.
- We may change our prices. If we change the price of a plan you’re on, we’ll give you reasonable notice before it applies to you.
If your paid access ends, your data isn’t deleted immediately. How long we keep each kind of data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
4. Your content and ownership
You keep ownership of everything you upload and create on LapInsight: your videos, notes, markers, lap and session data, and reports. We don’t claim ownership of it.
To actually run the service for you, we need your permission to handle that content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content, and to make the technical copies needed to do so. That covers things like processing video for playback, generating thumbnails or captions, cleaning notes of harmful code, and serving the links you create. This license exists only so we can operate the service and provide it to you and the people you share with. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that take a short time to clear from backups and any records we’re required to keep.
You’re responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights to upload and share it, and that it doesn’t break the rules in the next section.
5. Acceptable use
Use LapInsight for what it’s for. Don’t use it to:
- Upload or share content you don’t have the rights to, or that’s unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
- Attack, probe, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ accounts and data.
- Upload malware, or try to get around our security, rate limits, or account separation.
- Resell or redistribute the service, or pretend to be someone you’re not.
If you break these rules, we may remove content or suspend your access, as covered below.
6. Sharing and share links
LapInsight lets you share videos and reports through links. There are two kinds, and the difference matters:
- Restricted linkscan only be opened by the specific people you name, and they have to confirm who they are first. If a restricted link leaks, it’s useless to anyone else.
- Unlisted linkscan be opened by anyone who has the link, with no account and no sign-in, much like an unlisted YouTube video. The link won’t show up in search and can’t be guessed, but possession of the link is access.
This is your responsibility. When you create an unlisted link, you’re choosing convenience over tight control. Whoever you send it to, and anyone they forward it to, can view that content until the link expires or you revoke it. Only share unlisted links with people you’re comfortable having the content.
You can revoke any link at any time, and you can set links to expire.
7. Service availability and changes
We work to keep LapInsight running well, but we don’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may change, add, or remove features over time. If we plan to make a change that significantly reduces the core service, we’ll try to give you reasonable notice.
8. Disclaimers
LapInsight is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will meet every need, or that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. While we take backups to run the service reliably, LapInsight is not a backup service, and you shouldn’t rely on it as the only place your footage or data exists.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits any rights you have under the law that can’t be removed or limited.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, LapInsight and Focus Racing Pte Ltd won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. As above, nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using LapInsight and delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we’re required to by law, or if your use poses a risk to the service or to other users. Where it’s reasonable and safe to do so, we’ll give you notice and a chance to put things right first. If we terminate your account for a serious breach, we may do so without notice.
When your account ends, your right to use the service stops. The sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows or the law changes. When we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the date at the top and, where it matters, let you know more directly. If you keep using LapInsight after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you should stop using the service and can close your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
