Chapters name sections of a video — "Out lap", "Fast laps", "Cooldown", or anything else. They give you labelled landmarks to jump between, separate from your lap markers.
Add a chapter
With the playhead where the chapter should begin:
- Ctrl+B — quick-add a chapter at the playhead (auto-named).
- Ctrl+Shift+B — add a chapter and type a title for it.
- Or click the Add chapter button in the advanced bar.
Work with chapters
Chapters appear on the timeline and in the Video Markers tab of the notes drawer (open it with N). Click a chapter to jump to its start.
You can adjust a chapter's end point using the Set End control on the timeline row: select the chapter, move the playhead, and set its end to the current time.
Where chapters are saved
Like lap markers, chapters are stored in the video's .lapi sidecar and carry over to the full LapInsight app.
