Cloud Setup

Connect publishing providers so you can upload videos and reports.

Set up publishing providers so you can upload videos and reports from LapInsight.

LapInsight Cloud

  1. Go to File → Settings → Publishing.
  2. Click Sign in to LapInsight Cloud.
  3. A browser window opens for authentication. Sign in with your LapInsight account.
  4. On success, return to LapInsight — the status shows as Connected.

Tip: If you don't have a LapInsight account, sign up at lapinsight.app. Coach tier or higher is required for publishing.

Offline behavior: Your subscription stays available offline for up to 30 days after your last successful connection. After that, sign in again when you're back online to refresh your entitlements. This is designed for multi-day trackside events where reliable internet isn't guaranteed.

Security: If you lose a device or want to sign out all installations at once, you can revoke all desktop sessions from Account → Security on the LapInsight website. After revocation, each desktop installation will prompt you to sign in again the next time it connects to the cloud. (This feature is in progress — currently, you can sign out individually from each device via Settings → Publishing → Disconnect.)

Publishing Watermark Settings

When you're signed in to LapInsight Cloud, Settings → Publishing → LapInsight Cloud shows a Publishing watermark section when your account has watermark options to configure. What appears depends on your tier:

  • Free / trial: a read-only badge showing that the LapInsight watermark will be applied. No controls — subscribe to remove it.
  • Driver: the section is hidden. Driver tier uploads carry no watermark, and personal watermarks are reserved for Coach and Enterprise tiers.
  • Coach: once you've uploaded a personal watermark image in LapInsight Web, you'll see an on/off toggle, a position picker, and an opacity slider. Click Manage in LapInsight Web → to upload or change your watermark artwork.
  • Enterprise: what you see depends on the team policy your admin has configured. If a team watermark is required, you'll see a read-only badge with the team logo's name; if the policy allows it, a position picker. If the policy is optional, you'll get a toggle and may also have your own personal watermark available.

Position and opacity preferences are remembered locally. After each successful upload, LapInsight updates them to match what was actually applied — so if the cloud clamps your choice for any reason, the next upload reflects the real result.

The watermark artwork and policy live on LapInsight Cloud, not on your computer. Changing local files or settings cannot affect what gets applied.

YouTube

  1. Go to File → Settings → Publishing → YouTube.
  2. Click Connect YouTube Account.
  3. A browser window opens for Google OAuth. Sign in and grant LapInsight access to upload videos.
  4. The account name appears when connected.

Vimeo

  1. Go to File → Settings → Publishing → Vimeo.
  2. Click Connect Vimeo Account.
  3. Follow the OAuth flow in the browser.

Google Drive

  1. Go to File → Settings → Publishing → Google Drive.
  2. Click Connect Google Drive.
  3. Follow the Google OAuth flow.
  4. Choose the folder in Google Drive where videos will be uploaded.

Disconnecting a Provider

In Settings → Publishing, click Disconnect next to any provider to revoke access. This removes the stored credentials from LapInsight; it does not delete content already uploaded.
