Overview

The two tools for capturing coaching observations: Session Notes and Corner Feedback.

LapInsight provides two complementary tools for capturing coaching observations: Session Notes and Corner Feedback. A separate, lighter field — Video Description — adds a short plain-text caption to a single video.

Session Notes

Free-form rich text notes for a session. Supports:

  • Formatted text (bold, italic, bullet lists, headings)
  • Embedded images (paste from clipboard or drag in)
  • Timestamps — linked to a specific video position so you can click and jump straight to that moment

Notes are per-session and per-driver when multiple drivers are on a day.

Corner Feedback

A structured feedback table organised by corner. Choose from templates:

  • Handling — understeer, oversteer, balance by phase of corner.
  • Driving — technique observations by corner.
  • Comments only — freeform text per corner.

Corner Feedback is good for systematic debrief — every corner gets reviewed, nothing is forgotten.

Video Description

A short, plain-text description for a single video, set on the Video Description tab in Review Mode. Unlike Session Notes (which are private and rich text), a Video Description is shared along with the video — it appears in the LapInsight Cloud video viewer for anyone you share the link with. See Video Description.
