What happens to your videos if your subscription lapses

How storage is handled when a paid plan ends, and how to keep your videos.

When a paid plan ends, your videos are not deleted right away. There is a grace period first, and you are warned before anything is removed. This article explains the timeline so nothing takes you by surprise.

The timeline

  1. Your plan ends, either because you canceled or because a payment could not be taken.
  2. Your account moves to the free plan, which has a smaller storage limit.
  3. Storage above the free limit is scheduled for removal after a grace period.
  4. Before a video is removed, you receive a warning so you have time to act.

Once a video is removed, it cannot be recovered from LapInsight. Download anything you want to keep before its removal date.

Keep your videos

You have two ways to keep a video that is scheduled for removal.

  • Download it. Open the video and save a copy to your own storage.
  • Resume a paid plan. Moving back onto a plan with enough storage takes your videos out of the removal queue.

Where to check

The video area shows which videos are scheduled for removal and when. Sort by that date to handle the most urgent ones first.
