Fix an upload that is too large

What to do when a video is rejected for being over your storage limit.

If an upload is refused because it is too large, the file is over the space left on your plan, or over a single-file limit. Here is how to get it in.

Free up space

Each plan includes a set amount of storage. If you are near the limit, remove videos you no longer need, or download and then delete older ones to make room.

Move to a larger plan

If you regularly run out of space, a higher tier gives you more storage. See Change or cancel your plan.

Trim the video first

A shorter clip is a smaller file. If you only need part of a recording, trim it down before uploading so it fits.

Check the file

A single very large file can exceed the per-upload limit even when you have space. Trimming the recording into the part you actually need usually brings it under the limit.
