LapInsight's video tools cover the full lifecycle of your footage: import, review, compare, trim, compress, and publish.

The Video Workflow

  1. Import — drag video files into the Video List dock. LapInsight renames and indexes them.
  2. Review — play footage in Review Mode, add lap markers, sync notes to timestamps.
  3. Compare — load two videos side by side for driver or session comparison.
  4. Edit — trim clips or join sequences using the Video Trim Editor.
  5. Compress — reduce file size for cloud publishing without affecting your originals.
  6. Publish — upload to LapInsight Cloud, YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive.

Key Views

  • Video List dock — your media library for the open day. Import, rename, and manage files here.
  • Review Mode — the main review workspace with player, timeline, and notes panel.

Supported Formats

LapInsight plays any format supported by libmpv, which includes virtually all common cameras: MP4, MOV, AVI, MTS/AVCHD, MKV, and more.
