Configure the core app behaviour: data storage, display scaling, and defaults.
Data Root
The data root is the folder where all your session data, videos, and documents live.
- To change it, click the folder button next to the Data Root field and select a new folder.
- Existing data stays in the old location — move it manually if needed.
- After changing, restart LapInsight to ensure all file paths update correctly.
Tip: Put the data root on a fast drive (SSD or USB 3). Slow storage causes video playback stuttering and sluggish file operations.
UI Scale
If the interface appears too small or too large for your screen, adjust the UI Scale slider. Changes apply immediately without restarting.
Common values:
- 100% — default, designed for 1080p monitors.
- 125% — good for high-DPI (1440p / 2K) screens.
- 150% — for 4K monitors or visual accessibility.
Startup Behaviour
- Open last day on startup — automatically reopens the most recently used day when LapInsight starts.
- Show tips on startup — shows a brief tip each launch (disable once you know the app).
