Import a session schedule PDF to automatically create sessions in LapInsight.

What It Does

If you have a PDF of the event schedule (e.g. "Practice 1: 09:00–09:30, Qualifying: 10:00–10:20"), LapInsight can read it and create the sessions with correct names and times.

How To Import a Schedule

  1. Add the schedule PDF to Documents Center (see Adding Documents).
  2. Right-click the PDF → Create Sessions from Schedule.
  3. The schedule parser reads the document and proposes a list of sessions with names, dates, and times.
  4. Review the list. Check any sessions that need adjusting.
  5. Click Create Sessions to add them to the active day.

Date Format Disambiguation

If the schedule uses an ambiguous date format (e.g. 06/07/2025 — June 7th or July 6th?), a prompt appears asking you to choose the format. Select the correct interpretation and the sessions are created.

If Parsing Fails

Not all PDFs are structured consistently. If the parser can't find sessions, a message explains what it found. In that case, create sessions manually from Sessions → Start Session.

Tip: Schedules with clear time blocks (e.g. "09:00 – 09:30") parse most reliably. Tables and plain text both work well; multi-column PDFs with images may not parse correctly.
